Baritone (1)
The baritone is the largest of the ukuleles at about 30 inches with neck meeting body at 12th or 14th fret. It's usually tuned like the high four strings of a guitar, so it has a lower voice than the other ukuleles sizes. Similar to a tenor guitar. -
Concert (1)
The concert (alto) ukulele is just a little longer than a soprano at about 23 inches and sounds almost the same - maybe slightly louder because its greater length means the strings have a bit more tension. The neck typically meets the body at the 14th fret -
Soprano (1)
The soprano is the smallest and most common of the ukuleles, about 21 inches long. The neck meets the body at the 12th fret, halfway between nut and saddle. -
Tenor (10)
The tenor ukulele is larger than a soprano (or concert), around 27 inches long. It has a much fuller voice. The neck may meet the body at either the 12th or 14th fret and it can be tuned like a soprano (re-entrant) or with the G-string an octave lower (linear).
